ΝΑΥΤΙΚΟΣ ΟΜΙΛΟΣ ΘΕΣΣΑΛΟΝΙΚΗΣ 13 ΙΟΥΝΙΟΥ 2007

Η τελευτάια επιστημονική συνεδρίαση της ΟΥΕΒΕ πραγματοπιήθηκε στη αίθουσα του Ναυτικού Ομίλου Θεσσαλονίκης. Μετά το πέρας της συνεδρίασης ακολόυθησε συμπλήρωση φύλλου αξιολόγησης απο τους ειδικευόμενους που αφορούσε το εκπαιδευτικό πρόγραμμα καθώς και τους εκπαιδευτές. Τα αποτελέσματα στάλθηκαν σε όλους τους ενδιαφερόμενους.
Η συνάντηση έκλεισε με με δείπνο προσφορά του ΚΕΝΤΡΟΥ ΛΙΘΟΘΡΥΨΙΑΣ ΒΟΡΕΙΟΥ ΕΛΛΑΔΟΣ.

Εβδομάδα Ειδικευομένων

Η Ελληνική Ουρολογική Εταιρεία Διοργάνωσε στη Θεσσαλονίκη απο 23 εως 27 Απριλίου 2007, τη 2η σειρά Μαθημάτων Ουρολογίας '' Εκπαιδευτική Εβδομάδα Ελληνων Ειδικευομένων Ουρολογίας '' γνωστή και ως ''Εβδομάδα Ειδικευομένων'' . Τα μαθήματα έγιναν στην αίθουσα της ΟΥΕΒΕ και σε αυτή συμμετείχαν 52 ειδικευόμενοι. Χορηγός της Εκδήλωσης ήταν Η Φαρμακευτική Εταιρεία Astellas Hellas. Εκπαιδευτές ήταν Έλληνες συνάδελφοι με ιδιαίτερη εμπειρία στο θέμα που ανέπτυξαν.
Το βραδυ της 23ης Απριλίου ο Καθηγητής Ουρολογίας του ΑΠΘ , κος Δ. Ραδόπουλος δεξιώθηκε τους ειδικευόμενους, ομιλητές ,τα μέλη ΔΣ της ΟΥΕΒΕ και την ομάδα της ASTELLAS Hellas, στο Steak house ''Block House'' .Κατά την διάρκεια του δείπνου ο κος Β.Ρώμπης Αντίπρόεδος της ΕΟΕ, απένειμε βραβείο στον πρόεδρο της εταιρείας Astellas Hellas για τη συνεχή στήριξη της εταιρεία σε θέματα εκπαίδυσης των Ελλ΄ήνων Ουρολόγων.

Dear Course Participants, Ladies and Gentlemen!

Good afternoon. It is with great satisfaction and also at the same time sadness that we have now come to the final stage of this course. I would first like to extend my hearty welcome and gratitude to all of you here for participating in Thessaloniki’s ICS Educational course. The course has been attended by 256 physicians from around the world, and sponsored by 17 Pharmaceutical Companies.?

The main objective was to organize a meeting for experts coming from different regions of the world who deal with Urodynamics, Urogynaecology, Neurology and more- We have organized a meeting for various disciplines in medicine in order to prove that Urodynamics is a multidisciplinary and multisectoral issue.

I believe that we have achieved these aims. Furthermore, I hope that you share my opinion that the course, regarding its scientific content, was effective and of high quality. Also providing a chance for all participants to share their knowledge and experience.

I would like to thank all participants who took part in the course. I would like to thank the host and the sponsor institutions for their support. I would like to thank Avicia Burchill for the kind attention she gave to the course and the Kenes staff for their great work also. Furthermore, I would like, to say thanks to my colleagues, and especially to Mr Rombis for his active support.

Finally, I would like to express my thanks and most sincere gratitude to Prof. Cordozo for choosing Thessaloniki for this course.

I strongly believe that similar courses must be organized in the future to promote interaction and dialogue between professionals and experts alike, in order to be able to continue contributing to the health and well-being of our patients.

Award to Prof. Linda Gardozo

Gala dinner

Good evening

I am delighted to be here tonight, enjoying such excellent company. It has been an honour for my Clinic and me to co-organize this course, and I would like to thank Professor Cardozo for giving us such a wonderful opportunity for getting together.
I would also like to express our thanks to Astellas Pharmaceuticals and to Stella Gavala in particular for so generously sponsoring both the course and this wonderful evening.
I would also like to say a word of heartfelt thanks to Avicia Burchill, in recognition of all she has done to make this course a success.
Linda Gardozo has been a distinguished Professor of Urogynaecology at King’s college in London since 1994.
She served as the Chairman of the British Society of Urogynaecology during the years 2001-2006. She is currently the Chairman of the Education Committee of the ICS.
She was the co- chairman of the International Consultation on Incontinence on several occasions and is again in this year.
She is also the Fellows International Representative for the council of RCOG.
Her dedication to the great work of medicine, is not only demonstrated by her undisputed level of recognition in both academia and the active field of practising Medicine, but also via her assistance and training of others at the subspecialty training centre for Urogynaecology recognized by the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists in 1996.
In 1983 she was the first senior registrar ever to be elected to the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists Council. She is also on the editorial board of several highly-respected peer-reviewed journals.

To be honest, I have had to select a minimal proportion of Professor Gardozo’s achievements in this brief tribute, otherwise Professor Gardozo may have to wait far too long for Dr. Rombis to present her, with this highly deserved award.
To sum up, her large-scale contribution is characterized by the fact that, we are all here tonight, celebrating the noble purpose of this educational course.

Dr. Rombis could you please do the honours and present Professor Gardozo with her very much deserved token of our appreciation
